A button border patched from rectangles of
antique jacquard ticking and simple métis kitchen
toweling, looped ties secure border to main body -- a large piece of 19th
century Alsatian homespun.
This same hand tacked to an early 20th century métis
sheet, with like fabric serving as undercover and borders, also hand
tacked. Métis inner envelope. Two "Wheels of Saint
Catherine" (patron saint of seamstresses) hand patched and machine
appliqued to homespun. Nordic winter weight.
