A curious hinged metal tin with room for two balls of linen thread for hand sewing (fil au chinois). Its lid has two perfectly punched holes for the thread to be pulled through as needed. The box was found empty, but at another stall we found these four balls of blue linen thread (50 meters each) encased in their own cardboard box. This combination would make any collector happy!
